Record breaking day on the blog …

poolboy2Hi, friends and readers:

Don’t you just love attending swim meets? I’ve posted photos of this young man before. He seems to have quite a following on the Internet, but I have no idea where he lives or what his name is. Anybody know? I’m guessing he’s Angus from Melbourne, Australia.

Well, it’s sill morning time here in Florida, but already this blog’s had the largest number of visits of any day since I started it last year. Again, posts about gay skateboarders continue to receive the most attention, but posts with photos of naked guys are popular as well. (I wonder why …?)

Speaking of skaters, I received a rather depressing comment from a gay skateboarder in Santa Barbara, CA (a beautiful place by the way). I won’t tell you his name, but he had this to say:

“I think it’s great that openly gay skaters are accepted by their friends at the skate park, but I wasn’t so lucky. When I told my best friend I was queer he dumped me. He won’t even talk to me anymore when I see him in the halls at school.”

Now that  is sad.

I’ve got a full day ahead: writing, doing edits on a novel that’s releasing in January, food shopping, a three-mile run, then cooking dinner for a guest. It’s another beautiful day here on the island — breezy and sunny and not too warm.

Enjoy your Sunday, everyone.

Beautiful guy, beautiful Saturday …

See thru shirtHi friends and readers:

Does everyone like the photo I’ve posted here? What a beautiful young man. Anyone know who he is? Anyone have his phone number?

It’s a beautiful day here on the island, breezy and sunny and not too warm. Yesterday I planted my winter flowers and herbs. (I know, those of you from cold weather climates must be thinking, “Huh?” But here in Florida, we don’t plant until the summer heat has finally left us.) It took about three hours because all the soil in my pots had to be emptied and mixed with fresh potting soil to encourage growth with the new plants. I actually enjoyed the whole process. It’s so nice outside now that yard work’s a pleasure. So, now I’ve got two kinds of basil growing, plus thyme, rosemary and oregano. I have some new houseplants, and eighteen pots of red impatiens. In a month they’ll all be beautiful.

Yesterday I received my contributor’s copy of a STARbooks anthology titled Sextime: Erotic Stories Of Time Travel. The cover art’s pretty cool. My story’s titled Dr. Fungo’s Amazing Time Machine. Here’s a link to where you can buy it:

http://www.amazon.com/Sextime-Erotic-Stories-Time-Travel/dp/1934187518/ref=pd_sim_b_5

Dr. Fungo is funny, sad and, I think, pretty sexy.  You might want to give it a read. Have a great Saturday, all.

Lazy Friday night on the island …

starboyHi, friends and readers:

A follower of this blog sent me the photo I’ve posted here, and I’m not sure what to think about it. The young man’s quite beautiful, but why is he standing before a stardusted backdrop with his shirt off? Something tells me this one came from an Eastern European porno site, but he’s got his pants on and I thought I’d post it anyway. Maybe it’s a shot from prom night at a Bulgarian high school?

I’m back from Gainesville. My visit was a mixed bag; I’m always flooded with memories from my four years spent there. I was 17 when I arrived at the university, 21 when I left, and I went through many changes. I wasn’t always happy when I was there.

It’s a beautiful evening on the island, breezy and cool. It’ll be a quiet night for me. I have two fresh mullet filets, courtesy of a friend, and I’ll cook them for dinner. Then I think I’ll read a while. I’m re-reading a great novel by Gore Vidal titled 1876. It was published in 1976 and it’s beautifully written.

Tomorrow there’s a community fish broil here on the island, to benefit a private grade school down the street. I promised two friends I’d go.

Enjoy your Friday night, everybody.

Hot guys on UF campus, they’re everywhere …

b and wHi, friends and readers:

I arrived in Gainesville around 2:30 PM, changed into my running clothes and drove to campus. I took a half-hour jog, touring areas still familiar to me. Much has changed, but most of the central campus is the same as it was when I attended, back in the 70s. This is the first time I’ve been here in nearly ten years and it brings back many memories, some good, some … not so good. UF was not a welcoming environment for gay students at the time. I hope it’s better now.

I ran past my old fraternity house, located on Fraternity Row. All kinds of hot young men wandered about, most wearing T-shirts and basketball shorts, many with their ballcaps turned backward and flip-flops on their feet. Despite the fact it’s November, the weather here is warm and plenty of flesh is on display. Yum-m-m-m! Were the guys here that good looking when I went to school here?

Have  a nice Thursday evening, all.

Spanking fiction; my story continues to sell …

OTKHi, friends and readers:

I wrote a piece titled Serving Lisa that appeared in a short story anthology titled Spank Me Once, published during spring 2009 by the Noble Romance publishing house. Here’s the blurb for the story:

Lane’s a college student with a secret: he needs discipline from a mature woman. Visiting a website called Cruel Mistress, he finds a listing by a German couple, Lisa and Andreas. They seek a young man who “craves naked discipline” to “service the lady of the house.” When Lane responds, his life is quickly transformed in ways he’d never imagined.

Yesterday I received a nice comment from a young man in Chicago who tells me Serving Lisa is “the hottest erotic story I’ve ever read. I’ve had spanking fantasies for years and your story really got my juices flowing.”

I guess this guy is not the only one who gets excited by spanking fiction because the Spank Me Once anthology is one of Noble Romance’s most popular books. Even now, six months after publication, it sells briskly. Pretty cool, eh? Here’s a link if you want to buy the e-book:

In a couple of hours I am off to Gainesville, 2-1/2 hours north of here, so if I post again today it will be from there. Have a nice Thursday, all.

Handsome young man; nice dinner party

shirtlessHi, friends and readers:

Someone recently asked me, “How do you choose the photos you post on your blog?”

H-m-m-m. I’m not sure. People send me pictures, like the one I’ve posted here today, and sometimes they’ll make me smile or they’ll make my pulse quicken. I’m not crazy about posed, perfect-guy pictures. I prefer guys one might see on the street or the beach, like this guy here.

Today’s a busy day for me: writing, gym, packing for an overnight trip tomorrow. I’ll visit the University of Florida to see a friend, and take a three-mile run through campus, to reminisce.

I hosted a dinner party last night for several friends. We ate the fish a friend and I caught at my fishing camp last weekend. I have a marinade recipe I used and the fish came out really good. Plenty of wine, beer, corn on the cob and cole slaw. It was fun and everyone seemed to enjoy themselves. And my guests helped me clean up. What more could I ask?

It’s a beautiful day outside, warm and breezy, but not too warm. Perfect for taking a walk on the beach.

Enjoy your Wednesday, all.

S & M story still selling well …

HandcuffsHi, friends and readers:

A recent royalty statement from one of my publishers, Torquere Press, contained a surprise.

In January 2009, Torquere published a stand-alone story I’d written titled Passion Play.  The story’s main character, Reverend Luke, is a Methodist minister with a taste for young men. When two college-aged brothers, Marcus and James Thibodeaux, join his church, Reverend Luke discovers  that Marcus and James routinely perform sadomasochistic activities at a local leather bar for cash. Reverend Luke becomes deeply involved with both brothers, learning their deepest secrets.

Passion Play is a titillating tale, and it’s not for the squeamish. But if you’ve ever been curious about S & M, you may want to purchase a copy. It’s only available in electronic format. Here’s a link:

http://www.torquerebooks.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=1734

Passion Play is still selling briskly, almost a year after it debuted — a real surprise to me. Who’d have guessed?

Have a nice Tuesday, all.

Sexy and shirtless young man; comment from a gay skater; beautiful day on the island …

Same_as_any_resemblence_with_living_actorsHi, friends and readers:

I’m back from a nice workout and swim at the YMCA. I just powered up my laptop and a person who follows this blog has sent me the photograph I’ve posted here. Pretty hot stuff, eh?

I wonder what this boy’s name is and where he lives? I’m guessing he’s Aaron from Birmingham, Alabama. Anyone else care to speculate? There’s another photo of this guy floating around the Internet, one where he displays his, uh … personal equipment.

Aye-yi-yi.

I also received a nice comment from a young man named Lance, a skateboarder and high school student from a small town in Michigan, thanking me for my posts on gay skateboarders. Lance is gay and he says he’s reluctant to share this information with any of his skater buds, ” … because they might kick my ass.” He says, “Reading your posts on gay skaters makes me feel less lonely and isolated. Please keep them up.”

Will do, Lance.

It’s another beautiful evening here on the island. The temperature’s around 78 F, there’s a nice breeze, and we’re going to have another beautiful sunset tonight. What more could I ask for?

Have a nice Monday night, all.

Beautiful young man, beautiful Monday …

brown eyesHi, friends and readers:

Someone sent me this young man’s photograph and I’m posting it so everyone can enjoy it. What a beautiful guy. Those eyes …

He reminds me very much of a fraternity brother I went to school with at University of Florida. We were the closest of friends for about a year. He lives in Northern California now.

I stayed up too late last night. The moon was full and a nice breeze was blowing and I sat on my back porch, savoring a bottle of Savignon blanc, and I just could not make myself go to bed. Hey, fall’s my favorite time of year in Florida. Why not enjoy it?

I got an e-mail last night from the editor I am working with on my novella, Maui. She accepted the final changes I made to the story and now it’s off to the proofreader. It looks like the publication date will be three weeks from now. I’m excited about it because I think it’s one of the better stories I have ever written.

Okay, I’ve got a story to work on, so I am closing this post. Have a great Monday, everyone.

Back from my fishing trip; cool weather’s here …

Mickey MouseHi, friends and readers:

Yeah, I’m back from my fishing camp with a sunburned nose, a Ziploc bag full of fish filets, and a relaxed attitude. My friend and I had a great time. He brought his spear gun and snorkeling stuff and we visited a rock pile in the Gulf where he speared a nice grouper and a Spanish mackerel, then we caught a speckled trout and another mackerel with our rods and reels. We’ll have a little dinner party here on the island Tuesday night and enjoy our catch.

The weather up at camp was superb, the water clear, the sunsets beautiful. It does me good to spend time in the outdoors like that.

Traffic on the blog this weekend was kinda slow, no doubt due to an absence of posts on my part. But I’m back, and I’ve posted a nice photo I think you will all like.

The weather here has cooled. I did some yard work this afternoon, then  tonight I watched sunset with my neighbors. It was pretty, with lots of gold, red, green and blue. A nice breeze was blowing and everyone was in a good mood. Now my dinner’s in the oven and it’s time to answer all the e-mails that came in while I was gone.

Have a nice Sunday evening, all.
