I know: it’s Monday morning — the beginning of another work week — and you’re not feeling too spirited at the moment. But have a look at this morning’s photo post. Look at his sexy rear end. You’re feeling better already, aren’t you? There’s something to be said for naked young men. They brighten your day like nothing else can.

It’s a quiet morning, here on the island. My boyfriend worked until late last night, while I went to a friend’s home to fish in the Intracoastal Waterway and enjoy a fine dinner. Four guys, including me, were there, and we enjoyed many laughs.

The weather last night was perfect — breezy and warm — and the sunset was beautiful. This is the best time of year to be outdoors in Florida. We even caught a speckled trout and a redfish. It’s great to have friends I can enjoy simple pleasures with.

Now, my boyfriend’s catching up on his sleep and I’m editing a story. The doors and windows are open and it’s pleasant outside — about 75 degrees and sunny. This afternoon, we’ll visit the YMCA for our usual workout and lap-swimming. My boyfriend works again tonight, so I don’t know what I’ll be up to. For certain, I’ll visit the beach to watch sunset. Right now, I have a lot of work on my plate, writing-wise, so I’ll probably slave at the keyboard, after dinner.

I used to watch the Summer Olympics religiously, every four years. But I grew tire dof all the cheating and commercialism; it’s not a gathering of amateur athletes any longer. But I still try to catch the men’s gymnastics and men’s swimming competitions, for obvious reasons.

Gymnasts and swimmers have the most beautiful physiques of any athletes, I guess because of their special training methods. I mean, look at these two guys in today’s photo post. They’re … flawless, aren’t they?

My boyfriend and I are spending a leisurely morning together before he takes off for yet another long workday. Outside, the sun’s shining and it’s 76 degrees — a beautiful day. But alas: a steady wind is blowing about 15 MPH, which nixes my bike ride. It’s okay. Since I ran three miles yesterday, I’ll just take a three-mile walk on the beach this afternoon, for my daily exercise.

Noble Romance Publishing has advised me my short novel, Convict Ass will be released in about ten days. I’m excited about it. I wrote the book over the course of three months, earlier this year. It’s a love story, with a heavy doses of raw sex, fire-bugging and violence. The three main characters: Kurt, Eli and Preston, have all “done time” behind bars, but they’re lovable guys, just the same. Once the book’s published, I’ll put up the cover on the sidebar at right, and you can browse it at the Noble Romance website.

Okay, I have much to do and the morning’s slipping away. So, I’ll wish everyone a wonderful Sunday. I hope the sun is shining, wherever you are.

I’m not a fan of plastic chairs; they leave me cold, as the saying goes. But the chair in tonight’s photo post suits me fine, as long as the naked guy sitting on it is around. Aye-yi-yi, what a stud ….

I’ve been busy today. After editing all morning, I took care of correspondence and put future publication projects in the works. I waved a white hankie at my boyfriend as he drove off to work. I ran three miles on the island, then did errands to buy beer, more Christmas lights, and other assorted paraphernalia to decorate the house. Christmas is so much work, but it’s fun, too.

Tonight, I’ll hang out at the house and maybe watch Wisconsin play in the Big Ten championship game. (Or is it Big Twelve, now? I don’t know ….) The fridge is stocked with beer and wine, and I have leftovers from last night’s home-cooked meal I’m set, I think. In a few minutes, I’ll visit the shore to watch sunset with my neighbors. It’s warm tonight — about 76 degrees F — and my doors and windows are open. It’s so nice. This is my kind of winter weather.

Thanks to everyone who sent comments about the “skimpy briefs” photos I posted this week. They were a big hit, especially the lad in the flannel “sleep pants”, who looked like he needed a little company. Anyone wish to volunteer? After a few slow days during the middle of the week, the blog’s mucho busy. I’ll have 2,000 visitors by the end of the evening. Have a great Saturday night, all.

Take a look at the guy in this morning’s photo post. Tell me: have you ever seen a more beautiful young man? He has it all: ripped body, handsome facial features, nice skin and hair. This photo was also an amateur shot taken in someone’s  bathroom. Imagine what a professional photographer could do with this guy. I wonder where he lives and what his name is? Aye-yi-yi ….

I’m up reasonably early, after spending last night by myself and watching a Danish film, In a Better World, a real snoozer in my opinion. The whole film’s about teaching young men to avoid violence when facing conflict — a nice idea. But the pacing of the film was too slow, the acting a bit on the wooden side.

I don’t know, maybe I’m just a cultural clod when it comes to these type films. I also refuse to watch “people getting shot movies” (think Vin Diesel), teen sex comedies, animated films, horror flicks and chick flicks. That leaves out about 90% of today’s films. Hollywood, can you please give us more films featuring real people facing everyday problems, wih no one getting shot or raped? (Okay, Martin: stop railing ….)

It’s going to be a quiet Saturday for me. I’ll work on my novel, Dodging a Pearl, this morning. If the wind dies down (It’s been blowing steadily for five days now.) I’ll take a 16-mile bike ride. If not, I’ll run instead. I’ll have about thirty Christmas cards to write and address. I’m not sure what I’ll do with my evening. My boyfriend will be working again, so I’m at loose ends. Maybe I’ll visit our local, beach movie theater if they have something good showing.

I’m not a fan of striped clothing of any kind — it’s just too “busy” for my tastes. But I must say the young man’s briefs in tonight’s photo post are quite … tantalizing. What do you think? It’s Friday night and I’m alone, as my lovely boyfriend’s hard at work and won’t be home ’til nearly midnight. It’s okay. I need a little alone-time. I’ll prepare a simple meal for myself. The maybe I’ll watch a Netflix film I recently chose, titled In a Better World. Anybody seen it?

A reader named Jacob wrote me from NYC today. He’s a student at City College in Manhattan, plans to major in Biology, then go on to medical school. He said, “I read your post this morning about your Christmas preparations. I’m sure Christmas is exciting to Christians, but I’m a Jew and I always feel a little depressed and left out when this season comes around. I’m sure I’m not the first Jew who’s told you this.”

U-m-m, no you’re not, Jacob. Many of my best friends in my boyhood neighborhood were Jews; I never cared that their religion was different than mine (Methodist). My first male lover was a Jew named Randy. We met when I was twenty-one, he nineteen. My law partner for fifteen years was a Jew. So, I’ve had many discussions with my Jewish pals and lovers on this subject. And, yeah, I know not everyone celebrates Christmas. Still, I hope you’ll understand it’s a joyous season for those of us who grew up with the customs of Christmas.

Also, I stopped attending church when I was twelve. I’m not a person of faith, so Christmas is not a religious holiday for me, just a fun time to share with friends and loved ones.

It’s nearing the end of “hot guys in skimpy briefs” week at Martin’s blog, but I still have a few more photos to share with you. Does everyone like this morning’s post? What a great smile, and he sure fills out those briefs nicely.

I’m up a bit late today, after suffering from a bout with The Midnight Disease. Hey, it wasn’t all bad. I repaired damage to my blog posts back into September 2011. As I’ve mentioned before, a glitch has occurred in the WordPress program. Certain photos I’ve posted in the past are now appearing grossly over-sized, instead of the size I cropped them to using WordPress. From now on, I guess I will have to re-size photos using the Microsoft program, before posting them. It’s not the end of the world, but I’m irritated so many of my posts from the past won’t look as nice as I intended. Oh, well …

Yesterday afternoon afternoon and evening turned out to be a lot of fun. After my three-mile run, my boyfriend and I went to Walgreen’s to create our 2011 Christmas card; it came out great. We bought champagne, then came home and brought our Christmas decorations down form the attic. We put up Christmas lights and our illuminated snow man outside.

Last night, a friend came over for dinner. We put up our beautiful Fraser fir tree — it’s eight feet tall — and decorated with store-bought and homemade decorations. It looks great, and the house smells like evergreen now. We decorated the fireplace mantle with fir branches, pine cones and poinsettias. We’re ready for Santa now.

This morning, it’s sunny outside, but kind of chilly, with a steady breeze blowing from the north. The same breeze blew yesterday during my run, making the first half rather … arduous, since I ran due north. Okay, it wasn’t that bad. I just like to whine.

Every gay man has his own taste when it comes to underwear. Do you like young men in briefs or boxers? To me, both are sexy. Boxers leave a bit more to the imagination, but they still flatter a young guy’s body in a nice way, like the guy in tonight’s photo post. He’s cute, isn’t he? Wait a minute … Are those sleep pants? Ah-h-h, who cares?

It’s actually morning right now. I’m suffering from a bout with the “midnight disease”, as my favorite writer, Michael Chabon, dubbed it. Writers like me sometimes wake up in the middle of the night with a strange compulsion to write or edit. There’s no use lying in bed; I’ll just toss and turn and disturb my boyfriend. So, I just get up and get to work. Eventually, I’ll get sleepy.

I’ve just spent an hour trying to repair the visual damage to my blog, caused by some glitch in the WordPress system. Many of the photos I’ve posted, going way back, have suddenly become oversized. There’s only one way to fix the problem that I have found. I must manually save the photo post, then re-size it on the Microsoft picture program, then re-upload each photo. I’ve done this for all posts from October through the present. The older posts will have to remain out of whack; it’s just too much work to fix them all. Ah-h-h, technology ….

The photo at left I have posted before — about a year ago. It’s always been popular with guys who visit this blog, for an obvious reason: the guy in the photo is uber hot. Plus he’s wearing that cute “trapper hat”, a fashion accessory that’s become quite popular in cold weather climates.

My boyfriend bought me a trapper hat for my birthday in 2010; I love it, and I plan to wear it often this winter. Okay, we don’t have snow and ice in Florida, even in January. But it does get cold here sometimes, so I’ll be ready when it does.

No, the problems with my blog photos appearing OVERSIZED have still not been addressed by WordPress. Maybe I inadvertently changed a setting in my dashboard? I don’t know. But I’ll get it fixed somehow, trust me. Digitial technology’s great, but it drives me crazy when it doesn’t work right. Do you know what I mean?

Outside, it’s sunny, but the temperatures in the high 50s and a stiff breeze is blowing, making it kind of chilly for outdoor activities. At some point today, I’ll either take a run or a bike ride, depending on the wind developments. When you live on a little island, wind becomes an important factor in your outdoor exercise choices.

I have much to do today: edits on Dodging a Pearl, a trip to the beer/wine market, loads of laundry (Oh, boy!) and Christmas preparations. Every year, my boyfriend and I send out a Christmas card with a photo of us and our illuminated snow man, always taken in a different spot. Today’s the day to take the photo, and I think we’ll do it down on the shore. So, I’d best be going.

I offer up yet another photo of a beautiful young man wearing nothing but a pair of skimpy briefs. He fills them out quite nicely, don’t you think? I’m not sure about that “faux hawk” hairstyle, but I’ll overlook it.

The problem with OVERSIZED photos on this blog has not been addressed by WordPress yet, even though I contacted them this morning and they promised me a swift response. Until it’s fixed, you’ll just have to suffer along with “the attack of the giant hotties” format. Worse things could happen, I guess.

It’s been a nice day. I did solid edits on Dodging a Pearl this morning. The YMCA was uncrowded and my workout was nice. Afterward, we bought a Fraser fir Christmas tree and poinsettias. The tree came home on the roof of my Element. It looked so cute up there … Now it’s resting in a bucket of water on our patio. We’ll decorate later this week, I’m not sure when.

In a few minutes, we’ll be off to the city for beer-drinking and dinner with friends. I’m not sure where we’ll dine; it’s always an unknown until we get a few beers inside us. My friend has promised us a crackling, outdoor fire on his deck, which  will be nice. I’m getting in the Christmas spirit already.

Before I commence my usual fascinating remarks, let me give notice that there’s something haywire in the WordPress system right now. No matter how hard I try to lessen the size of photos I have posted here, they are all appearing HUGE online right now, I don’t know why. WordPress has been extremely reliable since I began this blog three years ago. I’m sure it’s simply a glitch in their system they need to fix. In the meantime, bear with me.

Does everyone like this morning’s photo post? I’ve said it before: I don’t normally care for “I took this in my bathroom mirror” pictures. But I think the guy in this post is amazing. He’s cute, he has a nice body, and I like his tousled hair. I wonder what his name is and where he lives?

Outside, it’s overcast, damp and breezy. Winter in Florida is definitely on its way, and I’m predicting we’ll have a serious cold front showing up before Christmas. It’s okay, I like the cool weather, after all the months of heat we’ve experienced. I wonder if the guy in today’s photo post has someone to snuggle with him, when the weather turns chilly? Any volunteers?

It’ll be typical Wednesday for me and my boyfriend: I’ll write this morning, he’ll read. This afternoon, after we share lunch, we’ll visit the YMCA for our usual exercise routine. While we’re in town, we may stop by Home Depot to buy our Christmas tree. In Florida, it’s important to buy them when they are fresh. Then you keep them inside, in the air conditioning, so any warm spells won’t dry them out. (I know it sounds weird, but that’s Florida for you.)

This evening, we’ll be joining friends in the city for beer-drinking and dinner at a restaurant. It’s always nice to get off the island, and I like experimenting with new places to eat. Right now, I must get busy, so I’ll wish everybody a nice Wednesday.
